Real work, real numbers

Case studies: what actually moved for real local businesses.

Most marketing agency case studies are a logo, a percentage and nothing anyone can check. These are the engagements behind our 15 years, written only with numbers we hold records for. Where a figure is missing, the study stays qualitative instead of getting rounded up.

Two clients are named here. Everything else is anonymized, because those businesses never signed up to be a marketing example and the result is true either way.

Work that predates BrandFamous is attributed to Matt personally. He ran those campaigns inside an agency starting in 2011, then inside corporate marketing teams. The company is newer than the operator, and we say so.

Anonymized studies describe real engagements with the business name, address and any identifying detail removed. No figure on this page is estimated, modeled or projected.

Map pack grid scan across Irvine showing an average position of 2.2

Buzz Cybersecurity: from page two to the top of the map in two markets

An Irvine and Corona technology firm that ranked for its own name and little else. Ten months of profile, page and review work moved it to the top of the map pack in both markets, measured on a grid rather than a single ranking check.

A family pizzeria group in Tustin

Matt ran local SEO and paid social for a family pizzeria group with stores across central Orange County, Tustin among them. One profile, one page and one ad set per store, never pooled, produced double digit year over year growth while the group was on the program.

A pizzeria and a dental practice in Mission Viejo

Two of Matt's engagements landed in the same city for different reasons: a pizzeria group's Mission Viejo store on the same local SEO and paid social program as its other locations, and a dental practice holding first page rankings for its main searches there for years.

A multi-location dental group anchored in Santa Ana

The campaign behind Matt's 2019 ClickFunnels Two Comma Club Award: a multi-location dental group anchored in Santa Ana that crossed seven figures a year on Meta Ads he built and managed alongside local SEO, and held it for years, not one good quarter.

A dental practice office in Fullerton

Same dental group as the Santa Ana anchor, a fifteen mile drive away, which in local search may as well be a different state. A dedicated office page, its own reviews and matching directory records earned first page rankings on their own, not on the anchor office's coattails.

A South Orange County tint shop

A single-location tint shop competing against national franchises with a sign budget. Service pages written for the exact work the owner wanted more of, plus a profile kept current by someone whose actual job that was, took it to position one for its core searches, city and county-wide.

A private security firm in Los Angeles

Buyers in this category do not browse; map position is close to the whole sale. Service area data matched to real staffing, a page per city that is genuinely about that city, and a phone a human answers at two in the morning took it to the top of Google across a long list of LA and Orange County cities.

A private security company across Texas and Nevada

The same category at a scale that answers the most common question about city page programs. Roughly 2,600 indexed pages across five metros ran for years without a penalty, because every page stood on its own rather than chasing a query, which is why this rollout caps at fifteen pages and waits on Search Console data before opening the next group.

A travel medicine clinic in Manhattan

Dense urban markets break the usual local SEO advice: proximity barely separates anyone when fifty clinics sit inside three miles. Category accuracy, review volume and specific service pages, not location, took this clinic to the top of Google for the searches that bring its patients in.

A group of specialty medical practices across Florida

Years before BrandFamous, Matt led local SEO for digestive health practices across several Florida cities. Multi-location healthcare usually leaves every satellite office invisible; giving each office its own page, profile, reviews and directory records fixed it, and reached first page rankings in every city served.

A consumer lender in Westminster

A category where the results fill up with operators who do not treat customers well. Accurate profile data, a page that answered the questions people actually called to ask, and reviews from real customers, no urgency copy, earned high first page rankings for its core loan searches.

A home services company in Beverly Hills

Emergency home services is one of the most expensive local categories, because lead resellers bid the paid results into the ground. Service pages built per job type, a service area matching where the trucks actually drove, and reviews that kept coming even during a busy schedule earned page one for its core plumbing searches.

A senior care agency in Rancho Cucamonga

The buyer here is almost never the person receiving care, usually an adult child searching at eleven at night after a fall. Content written for that reader, on caregiver screening, credentials and cost transparency, alongside the ranking work, earned first page placement for core in-home care searches.

A men's grooming salon in Newport Beach

Some businesses do not need an agency, just someone to open the ad account, name what is actually wrong, and leave. This consulting engagement on local SEO and paid social is part of the 15 years for that reason, the same reason a prospect sometimes gets three hours of advice instead of a retainer.

A landscaping business in Arizona's West Valley

Not Matt's story. Adam Warren, BrandFamous's Director of Growth, built his own landscaping business in the West Valley past three hundred thousand a year, mostly on Meta Ads he taught himself and ran himself, no agency and no media buyer, before he ever worked in marketing for anyone else.
