Service

Your website, hosted, protected and kept current.

The most expensive website problem is the one nobody notices for six weeks. The Care Plan is the boring insurance that keeps a good site earning, run by the team that built it.

No obligation. We will check your backups and your forms for free.

What is included

Six things, every month.

Website maintenance services are sold vaguely almost everywhere. Here is the exact list, so you can compare it against whatever you have now.

Managed hosting

Fast hosting sized to your traffic, with a staging copy so nothing untested ever touches the live site.

  • Content delivery network and image optimization on by default
  • A staging environment that mirrors production
  • SSL renewed automatically, and watched in case it is not

Backups and restore

Daily offsite backups are common. Actually testing that a restore works is not, and it is the only part that matters at three in the morning.

  • Daily offsite backups with 30 days of history
  • One-click restore, tested quarterly rather than assumed
  • A copy you can download and keep yourself

Updates tested first

Auto-updates are how a plugin quietly breaks a checkout. Every update goes to staging, gets clicked through, then goes live.

  • Core, plugin, and dependency updates on a schedule
  • Checked on staging before production, every time
  • Rolled back immediately if something moves

Monitoring that includes forms

Most monitoring tells you the site is up. Ours also tells you the contact form still delivers, which is the failure that actually costs money.

  • Uptime checks every minute from more than one region
  • Form delivery tested daily with a real submission
  • A human responds, not just an automated alert email

Small edits, handled

New team photo, changed hours, a price list swap, a page for the service you just added. Send it and it ships, usually same day.

  • Unlimited small edits, sent by email or text
  • Larger jobs quoted before anything starts
  • Website maintenance and hosting for small business teams with nobody in house

A monthly note in plain English

What we changed, what broke, what we watched. One short note a month, written so you can forward it to a partner who is not technical.

  • Uptime, speed score, and every edit shipped
  • Anything we noticed and fixed before you saw it
  • What we recommend next, and what can safely wait

The process

What the first 90 days look like.

Taking over someone else's site is most of this job. Here is how that goes.

DAYS 1 TO 7

Inventory and rescue

We find every login, every domain, and every plugin nobody remembers installing. Then we take a full backup before touching anything.

DAYS 8 TO 21

Migrate and harden

Move to managed hosting with no downtime, set up staging, patch what is out of date, and turn on monitoring that includes the forms.

DAYS 22 TO 45

Speed pass

Images, scripts, fonts, and caching. This is usually where a score in the fifties becomes a score in the nineties, on a site nobody rebuilt.

DAYS 46 TO 90

Settle into the rhythm

Weekly edits, monthly updates, a quarterly restore test. The month you stop thinking about your website is the month this is working.

Proof

Sites we keep alive, not just sites we launched.

Maintenance is judged on what does not happen. These two are the closest thing to evidence of that.

Statewide service company, Texas and Nevada

Thousands of pages, live and indexed, for years

Matt built and still maintains a site that carries a location page for every market its client serves.

Nothing on it is maintained by hand, which is the only reason a site that size stays consistent instead of rotting into broken links and stale hours.

2,600Pages kept live and indexed on one domain
5Metros covered, Houston to Las Vegas
0Pages maintained by hand

Anonymized client, multi-year engagement. Past results are not a promise of future results.

Specialty medical practice, Corona and Lake Forest

Built so an update cannot quietly break it

Two sites for one practice, on a stack the front desk edits itself, with three languages driven from one content model.

Multilingual sites are where careless maintenance shows first, because a broken update usually breaks the language nobody on the team reads.

2Sites under one maintenance standard
3Languages: English, Spanish, Vietnamese
AAWCAG 2.1 accessibility held after launch, not just at it

Build completed 2026. Figures reflect that engagement.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is a website care plan, and do I actually need one?

It is hosting, backups, updates, monitoring, and small edits under one arrangement instead of four. You need one if nobody at your business owns the website.

If you have a capable person in house who already patches and backs it up, you do not, and we will say so.

Do you only maintain sites you built?

No. We take over sites built by other people all the time, and it is usually the most useful week of work a business buys that year.

There is a one-off onboarding pass to inventory the logins and get it into a state we are willing to be responsible for.

Occasionally a site is in bad enough shape that rebuilding is cheaper than maintaining it, and we will tell you that instead of taking the monthly fee anyway.

What counts as a small edit?

Anything under about 30 minutes. Text changes, new photos, hours, staff, a new service added to an existing page, swapping a form field.

A new page template, a redesign, or a new integration is a project, and we quote it before starting rather than after.

What happens if the site goes down?

Monitoring pages a person, not a shared inbox. In most cases we have restored it before anyone at your business has noticed, and you get a note afterwards explaining what happened.

We do not sell a response-time guarantee we could not honor with a team this size, and we would rather say that than write a number we do not mean.

Am I locked in, and can I take my site elsewhere?

Payment terms are flexible, monthly or annual, and none of them hold your site.

Your domain stays in your name, your backups are downloadable, and if you leave we hand over a full export rather than making it awkward.

Holding a client's site hostage is how agencies get talked about, and not in the way that brings referrals.
