Service

A custom software development company that replaces the tools you rent.

One build replaces the stack you pay for every month. We build the CRM, the client portal, or the internal tool your business actually needs, and you own it outright with no seat count attached.

No obligation. We will tell you honestly if off the shelf is the better call.

Twelve renewals a year, every year, against one build you keep.

What is included

Six things in every build.

Custom software development goes wrong in the same six places every time. Here is how each one is handled.

Scope written down first

A fixed scope on paper before a line of code. That is what makes a lump sum possible instead of an hourly relationship with no end.

  • Every screen and every rule listed and signed off
  • Anything out of scope named explicitly, not left vague
  • A change process agreed up front, so later requests are a decision and not an argument

Custom CRM development

The flagship build. A pipeline shaped like your actual sales process, not like the one a platform decided every business has.

  • Your stages, your fields, your handoffs
  • Quoting, follow up, and job status in one place
  • Custom crm for small business teams, no per seat charge as you hire

Internal tools and dashboards

The spreadsheet that four people edit at once, the report someone rebuilds by hand every Monday. Those are the cheapest builds and the fastest payback.

  • Internal tools development for the process nobody wants to own
  • Dashboards that pull from the systems you already run
  • Client portals your customers will actually log into

Migration off the old stack

A build nobody switches to is a waste. Getting your data out and your team across is part of the project, not a separate conversation.

  • Full export and import, contacts, history, files, and notes
  • A parallel-run period so nothing goes dark on cutover day
  • Cancellation dates tracked so you stop paying for what you replaced

Security and access

Owning the system means owning the responsibility. We set it up so that is a small job rather than a risk you inherited.

  • Roles and permissions modelled on how your team is structured
  • Encrypted storage, audit logging, and daily backups
  • Sector requirements handled where they apply, including health data

Handover and ownership

You own the code, the data, and the accounts. If you ever want to take it to another developer, nothing about our setup stops you.

  • Repository transferred to your organization at launch
  • Documentation and a recorded walkthrough for your team
  • Optional support plan, never a condition of the build

The process

How the build actually happens.

Four stages, each with something you can look at when it ends.

WEEKS 1 TO 2

Map the real process

We sit with the people who do the work and write down what actually happens, including the workarounds. Most scope errors come from skipping this.

WEEKS 3 TO 4

Clickable prototype

Every screen, clickable, before anything is built. Changing a prototype takes an afternoon. Changing a built system takes two weeks.

WEEKS 5 TO 12

Build in two week blocks

You get a working version every two weeks and can use it. No six month silence followed by a demo that misses the point.

CUTOVER

Migrate and hand over

Data moves, both systems run side by side for two weeks, then the old subscriptions get canceled and the code becomes yours.

Proof

Systems we built that people run every day.

Two engagements where the deliverable was software somebody has to operate, not a document about software.

Specialty medical practice, Corona and Lake Forest

A specialty practice and its surgery center: two systems the practice runs itself

Two sites for one practice, built on a stack the front desk edits without calling us, with forms designed around health data handling and three languages served from the same content model.

The test of a build like this is whether the client still needs the developer on speed dial. They do not.

2Systems built and handed over, one launch
3Languages served from one content model
AAWCAG 2.1 accessibility built in before launch

Build completed 2026. Past results are not a promise of future results.

Statewide service company, Texas and Nevada

A page program that generates itself from data

Matt built and still runs a location program where every market page is generated from structured data rather than written from scratch and pasted around.

That is the same discipline behind a good internal tool: define the data once, let the system produce the output, and stop paying people to copy and paste.

2,600Pages generated and maintained from one data source
5Metros covered, Houston to Las Vegas
0Pages maintained by hand

Anonymized client, multi-year engagement. Figures reflect that engagement.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What do you actually build, versus what should I just buy off the shelf?

Buy accounting, payroll, and email. Nobody should build those.

Build the thing that is specific to how you win work: your pipeline, your quoting rules, your client portal, the report your operations manager rebuilds by hand every week.

The test is whether the platform is bending to you or you are bending to the platform.

How does a lump sum build compare to a monthly subscription?

A subscription renews forever and gets more expensive as you hire. A build is one project and then an asset you own.

The payback depends entirely on your seat count and how long you plan to keep using the tool, so we model it with your real numbers during the scoping call rather than quoting a headline figure here.

What happens to my current platform once the custom build is live?

We export everything first, run both systems in parallel for about two weeks, and only then cancel. Your history comes across, including notes and attachments. Nobody loses a contact record because a migration was rushed to hit an invoice date.

Who owns the code and the data when it is finished?

You do, both of them, in writing. The repository is transferred to your organization at launch and the hosting accounts are in your name. We would rather earn the support work than hold your system hostage to get it.

When would you tell me not to build?

When the process is still changing every month, when the pain is really a training problem, or when a small team is paying for two seats and would spend more on the build than on ten years of the subscription.

We turn down more of these than we take. A build that solves the wrong problem is the most expensive thing on this page.
